General New Features

  • Added an Inspire-like Toolbelt

 



 

  • Added a search function in the Entity Editor




 

  • Advanced selection now adds union and intersection logic.



 

  • Matrix Browser is now located in the Post functional area, and is no longer only in the Aerospace dropdown menu.
  • More entities can now be selected with Nearby.




 


Browser New Features

  • Add Metadata: data can be added to all entity types, supporting three formats: integer, real number, and string. Metadata also supports adding columns in the browser for easier comparison.
  • However, Metadata currently cannot be exported to the solver input deck.





Assembly New Features

  • The Comparison function allows direct selection for comparison on the graphics area, with colors indicating the differences.




 

  • Added a Renumber function icon in the Assembly area.
  • Added Spatial ID Manager, which can perform incremental ID sorting based on spatial fields. For example: increment by 1 in the X direction, and increment by 100 in the Y direction.





Geometry New Features

  • Added sketching functionality with an independent ribbon




Mesh New Features

  • Geometry associativity settings can retain the original node associativity to geometry, so the mesh will no longer lose geometry associativity during editing. An Origin tool is also provided to locate nodes that have moved away from the geometry and move them back to their original positions.
  • Thin Solids tool can generate penta and hexa meshes on thin solids, such as sheet-metal solids and electronic components with relatively small thickness.
 

 
  • The Replicate function can automatically detect shared edges between 2D and 3D elements and stitch them together.



Morph New Features

  • Free and Proximity morph functions add an offset normal method




 

  • In Free, Proximity, and Volume morphing, you can monitor element quality changes during morphing and choose whether to automatically remesh affected elements.





Connectors New Features

  • Automatically create line connectors, which can be used for 2D geometry or mesh.
  • Create solid weld beads and automatically imprint the heat-affected zone.
  • The Absorb workflow will have its own dedicated toolbar.



Composite New Features

  • Ply type supports the following composite manufacturing methods: Unidirectional, Weave, Core, and Filament Wound.
  • Composite Stress Toolbox provides classical laminate theory calculations to evaluate engineering constants, strength, load response, and first ply failure.





Design Space New Features

  • Added adhesive Design Space modeling. This tool automatically identifies flange regions to create the adhesive model.





Design Explorer New Features

  • Added measurement-type Response settings, such as distance between two points, relative displacement change, and relative angle change, which can now be used as Responses.
