Altair Material Data Center 

.......Altair has launched its material database “Material Data Center (Altair Material Data Center AMDC)”. In the product development process, one of the most important decisions is the selection of production materials, and accurately understanding the multi-domain physical properties of materials is essential to obtain reliable simulation results.
.......Altair Material Data Center™, AMDC) enables designers and engineers to access this database through a standalone application or in combination with Altair simulation platforms for material definition, including structural, fatigue, thermal, electrical/magnetic performance, and other properties, as well as process-specific data from manufacturing.
.......With AMDC, there is no need to search for generic material information on the web anymore. Every simulation includes a traceable material data source, and this information is continuously updated. The number of data provider partners is rapidly growing, including Baosteel, MATDAT, SABIC, and more. Materials can be browsed, searched, and compared in an intuitive and user-friendly interface without manually creating solver cards, and unit conversion is performed automatically.

Physical test data can even be enriched with results generated using Altair® Multiscale Designer. In addition, AMDC will be able to connect to third-party and customer material databases.

Product Features

1. Accurate data for metals, polymers, and composite materials, including visual plots, raw data, and solver-ready material cards. All data is traceable back to the originating supplier, ensuring valid assumptions and consistent data when teams collaborate.
2. Material properties can be exported to multiple CAE formats with automatic handling of different unit systems and conversions. When needed, engineering values such as density, Young’s modulus, Rp0.2, and others can be recalculated.
3. Creates a direct link between users and material suppliers. The materials from multiple suppliers available in AMDC help purchasing, manufacturing, and supply-chain planning, and provide a scalable solution (on-premises or cloud) that can meet the needs of any product development team.
4. AMDC can be integrated with any simulation software suite/solver, including simulation and optimization tools, enabling an uninterrupted workflow.
