Quick Navigation
In the past, transformer development and design were often verified directly through experiments to confirm compliance with specifications. However, when the operating power of the transformer increases beyond a certain level, conducting real-world tests may raise safety concerns.
Richin assisted the client in using Altair Flux to perform simulation analysis on high-power transformers. Through simulation, engineers can first confirm the electromagnetic characteristics of the transformer before performing physical tests, and extract loss results from magnetic field analysis to conduct thermal analysis. This helps optimize the structural design and reduces the number of experiments required during product development.
By using Flux, engineers verified the electromagnetic characteristics and temperature-rise behavior of the transformer during the design stage, including loss calculation, magnetic flux density distribution, and fringing flux phenomena.
Reduced the number of real-world tests during the transformer design phase, lowering the experimental risks for testing personnel.

High-power transformer electromagnetic field analysis
Flux provides model parameterization, allowing rapid solving for new adjusted designs simply by modifying structural parameters.
Capable of performing steady-state and transient electromagnetic field analysis under rated or specific operating conditions.
Able to perform coupled electromagnetic-thermal analysis in Flux, enabling engineers to understand the temperature distribution and heating/cooling time of the device during operation.
