【 Background 】

       In this case, the customer wanted Richin Technology to provide a meshing workflow to speed up mouse CAE modeling and minimize modeling time. In the past, CAE modeling work would cautiously start from the CAD stage, cleaning up all geometric features before beginning meshing. However, it often happened that only halfway through meshing they realized some areas hadn’t been treated properly, so they had to go back to the CAD software for feature cleanup or manually add feature lines on surfaces, and so on—this back-and-forth was tedious and time-consuming. Sometimes, just to finish the mesh, they would even sacrifice element quality, which then led to non-convergence issues caused by poor element quality, ultimately spending even more time debugging the analysis.


 

【 Results 】

       This project leveraged the powerful solid meshing kernel of SimLab, combined with a variety of fast and convenient mesh feature-handling tools, and customized scripts developed by Richin. As a result, the original 1–2 days of mouse CAE modeling work was reduced to just 1 hour, successfully saving roughly an order of magnitude in time (about 10× faster).
