【 Background 】

The client for this project is a major ODM motor manufacturer focused on overseas markets. Due to strict cost control requirements and intense competition in the motor industry, the project needed to meet multiple ODM client demands within a limited timeframe—including achieving motor performance targets while also fulfilling structural safety and cooling performance requirements.
Richin ultimately used Altair e-Motor Director combined with optimized DOE design to help the client achieve these project objectives.

【 Results 】

We first used Flux Motors to perform low-frequency electromagnetic analysis of the rotor. We then evaluated how the rotor deforms structurally at high rotational speeds, along with thermal conduction and speed-control issues caused by elevated temperatures—ultimately ensuring high-efficiency motor operation.
To address these challenges, we utilized the Altair e-Motor Director platform, which considers all analysis requirements simultaneously and provides a highly competitive motor design.
This module integrates the power of simulation with DOE-based parameter design, balancing multi-physics requirements to accelerate system development. With its guided interface, our client was able to get up to speed quickly and successfully complete all project goals within the limited schedule.
