The client is a domestic manufacturer of motors and motor controllers. In the past product design process, motor performance paired with the controller was mainly validated through physical prototyping and testing. As a result, the motor design team and the controller team often spent significant time communicating and troubleshooting issues arising from motor–controller integration.
With the integration of PSIM and Flux, Richin helped unify motor design and controller teams, enabling performance simulation of motor–controller interaction before physical prototyping.
Using the motor control module in PSIM together with reduced-order models from Flux, different control objectives can be simulated.
Through PSIM simulations, the interaction between the motor and controller can be validated in advance, reducing the cost and time spent on communication or repeated testing between the motor and controller teams.
